In a well-known segment on The Simpsons, Ned Flanders is playing Bible trivia with Bart and Lisa Simpson, and is trying to encourage them as follows (paraphrased):
"C'mon! This one's easy! Book of Revelation...fire-breathing lion's head, tail made of snakes...who else is it gonna be?"
At first, I didn't what what Flanders was talking about.

The 200 Million Horsemen!
According to the Bible's Book of Revelations, when the end of the world comes, these demon soldiers from Hell will slaughter one-third of humanity after the appearance of the more famous Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
After that's done, they presumably take a well-deserved break and go home to Hell.
...then the human race bounces back, and the world begins anew.
