2024 has arrived!
I decided to stay up this year, so I'm just barely functioning.
Nevertheless, for my first post of the New Year, I've decided to make it well-fitting and explain my new representation of Janus, the Roman god of new beginnings and namesake of January.
With his two faces, Janus looks forward to the future and back at the past.
In this new cartoon representation of him, I decided to insert a little advert for my two major cartoon projects I created myself and post regularly on my social media accounts.
Janus is looking forward at World Women, my answer to those countryball memes...except revolving around international female representations of various countries, whose universe is set in the 2080s...the near-future.
(The future from when this blog post comes out, anyway)
Janus is looking back at Mythika, a multicultural fantasy universe I created based on the myths, legends, and premodern history of cultures all over the world...as well as common worldwide mythological themes.
The post is also telling you to scroll down to the very bottom to find where it says to visit my social media, so that you can check out my incredible artistic talent and creativity outside of this website.
As the old year gives way to the new year, what makes me especially excited is that the cycle of holidays will start back up again.
Expect plenty of romantic love posts for Valentine's Day, a whole bunch of Irish-related posts for St. Patrick's Day, and possibly an Easter special about the goddess Eostre.
Lunar New Year this year is the Year of the Dragon.
For that, I'm going to make a very special post about dragons from all over the world on either this blog, my Facebook/Instagram, or my Spotify.
Happy New Year, everyone!
