The rebirth of Mythology Worlds has officially begun, with new artistic iterations of mythical tales.
With Easter coming up soon, I'm going to share with you my new rendition of a story where all creation originates from an egg.
Here is my rebooted interpretation of the Chinese creation story:
The tales of Pan Gu and Nu Wa are now united into one cartoon to harmonize creation of the world with the creation of humankind.
The names of Pan Gu and Nu Wa are given in Chinese characters.
Instead of just showing Pan Gu's body becoming the world, I now also include him hatching out of the cosmic egg.
In some versions of the Pan Gu story, while the various parts of his body are turning into the world, his fleas and lice turn into humankind.
However, I decided to leave this part out to accommodate Nu Wa and her creation of humankind.
In her story, Nu Wa makes the nobles out of the clay of the Huang He River, and creates the commonfolk out of mud that falls from her cord.
Hence, in one hand she is holding an Imperial Chinese noblewoman.
In the other hand, she carries a cord with mud on one end, below which is a rural Chinese farmhand.
I hope you enjoy the new life that comes to this website after the Great Vanishing.
Of course, I will be adding new art pieces during my downtime.
Happy Easter!
This is a great start to the new site! How very fitting to start the rebirth of the site with an origin story of the world and humanity!
