The Kakamora's Worst Fear

In legends from the Melanesian country of the Solomon Islands, the Kakamora are long-haired, cave-dwelling goblin-like creatures who emerge when it is raining.

They are said to be afraid of everything white.

That has inspired a humorous interpretation!

In making my comic drawing of the Kakamora, I soon realized that it should be terrified by the fact that I drew it on a white sheet of paper.

Hence, I decided to have it recoil in fear at the color of the background.

Maybe if I had added some colored background to the scene, it would be fine.

In addition, the fact that I made this blog post on a white background would probably make it even more scared!
